Virtual reality (VR) technology has made significant strides in recent years and is now being used in a variety of applications, including the creation of virtual campus tours. These tours allow users to experience a simulated, artificial campus environment through sensory stimuli such as sights and sounds and can be accessed through UniKL MIIT’s website.

The demand for campus tours from parents has led to a research project on the feasibility of creating a VR campus tour for UniKL MIIT using the ADDIE method and Pano2VR software. This project aims to determine if it is possible to create a VR campus tour using the ADDIE methodology that meets the needs of the university and its target audiences and addresses the challenges and inconveniences caused by events like the COVID-19 pandemic that can make physical visits to the campus difficult or impossible.

ADDIE methodology involves analysing goals and the target audience’s needs, designing the VR experience, developing content, implementing the VR experience, and evaluating its effectiveness.

The project also aims to develop a VR environment to simulate the UniKL MIIT City Campus, determine the usefulness of VR technology for promoting universities, and evaluate the impact of VR campus tours.
